This is a circa 1904 Denver Square in Congress Park. We remodeled the kitchen, powder room and the entire basement. In the photos, look for the vintage dining room sideboard that we were able to save and move into the kitchen. We added french doors to an exterior patio in the dining room where it used to sit. I will have a blog post with more detail coming soon!
We gutted and updated the kitchen and the basement in this 1913 beauty of a home in Denver’s tree-lined Sunnyside neighborhood. Photos by Kyla Chambers.
This 1923 home is in a designated Historic Block in Denver’s Congress Park. We moved a staircase and updated the entire home while striving to maintain the home’s charm. We kept existing cabinets in the kitchen and dining room, added new backsplash tile and added a row of pantry and mudroom cabinets next to a new Dutch door that goes out to a side garden. In addition to 3 new bathrooms we also converted a closet in the basement to a reading nook.

When I visited this 1970’s split-level home in Golden, Colorado for the first time, the space on this main floor was broken up into 3 rooms. The kitchen was crammed into the center of the space and covered in small, 1970’s cabinets. This family loves to cook together and entertain friends - they craved a space that could support two active cooks and plenty of hang-out room for friends. We took out walls and added a window to get the space light and bright. I added a banquette area to create a more intimate space near the bay window. Per the client, we put in two sinks for each cook. Photographs by Jordan Katz. Styling by Kristy Oatman.
